Indianapolis crime: 3 men shot to death in 9 hours

Police are investigating three fatal shootings that happened within nine hours Sunday.

One man was shot on the west side about 3 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Woodfront Court, near 38th Street and W. Kessler Boulevard N. Drive, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said.

The man died at the scene.

Another shooting left a man dead on the west side shortly before 10:30 p.m. in the 800 Staton Place East Drive, near 10th Street and Country Club Road, police said.

That man also died at the scene.

A third man was fatally shot inside a 2008 Acura TL shortly before midnight in the 3700 block of East Market Street on the east side, police said. He too died at the scene.

Police did not release suspect information in any of the shootings. The victims' names will be released after families are notified.
