Person of interest in custody in University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee sexual assaults

A 19-year-old man arrested for disorderly conduct is a person of interest in two fourth-degree sexual assaults near the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus, Milwaukee police said Wednesday.

Milwaukee police arrested the man Tuesday with the help of UWM police, according to a statement.

According to UWM police, the assaults occurred about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3100 block of North Oakland Avenue and shortly before noon Monday in the 2700 block of North Frederick Avenue.

In the Monday incident, a man grabbed a female victim from behind and fondled her. In the Tuesday incident, a man grabbed a woman from behind and lifted her off the ground, according to UWM police.
