Authorities said they concluded a monthlong investigation with the recent arrest of a Ventura man accused of drug and gun violations.

Detectives said they received information in September about Kyle Corbett, 29, selling large quantities of fentanyl-laced heroin, methamphetamine and firearms to residents of Ventura County, according to authorities.

Further investigation helped detectives gain enough information to get a search warrant for Corbett, his residence and car, authorities said.

Detectives detained him in a traffic stop Nov. 5 after he left his residence in the 2000 block of Vista Del Mar, according to authorities.

During the traffic stop, officers learned he was in possession of a loaded firearm, authorities said. A  search of his residence led to recovery of 21 ounces of suspected heroin, 3 ounces of methamphetamine, another loaded firearm and more than $27,000 cash, authorities said.

Investigators also found additional evidence consistent with sale of illegal narcotics, authorities said.

Authorities said they seized 21 ounces of suspected heroin, 3 ounces of methamphetamine, two loaded firearms and more than $27,000 in cash from Kyle Corbett's residence in Ventura.

Corbett was arrested and booked into Ventura County jail, where he was being held Wednesday on suspicion of the felonies of possession for sale of a controlled substance, sale/transportation/offering to sell a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with firearm, ownership/possession/control of firearm by a felon or addict, possessing a firearm when prohibited and large-capacity magazine, according to jail records.  He also is accused of the misdemeanor of driving when privileges are suspended for a prior DUI conviction, jail records show.

He was being held on a total of $320,000 bail with a court hearing scheduled at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 19.
