AR Crops: 91% cotton, 88% soybeans harvested

More rain and colder temperatures slowed harvest progress for many crops last week.  According to the latest report from the USDA 91 percent of cotton has been harvested, still behind the 5-year average. 

Peanut harvest is 61 percent complete.

Eighty-eight percent of soybeans have been harvested.

Rice harvest is complete.

Eighty-four percent of winter wheat has been planted, with 70 percent emerged, and 51 percent is rated good to excellent.

Soil moisture supplies are replenishing heading into the winter months with 95 percent of Topsoil moisture and 92 percent of subsoil moisture are called adequate to surplus.
