TN crops: 73% cotton and 80% soybeans harvested

More rainfall and cooler temperatures put pressure on farmers who are trying to wrap up harvest.  According to the latest report from the USDA, cotton harvest is 73 percent complete

Soybeans are 80 percent harvested.

Corn harvest is completed.

Sixty-eight percent of the winter wheat crop has been planted and 48 percent has emerged, with 64 percent of the crop rated good to excellent. 

Rains have helped pasture conditions improve.  Topsoil moisture is rated 90 percent and subsoil moisture is rated 85 percent adequate to surplus.
