The time when roads will be dominated by self-driving cars isn't that far away, experts say. So what does that mean to policy makers who are designing roads, development standards and parking structures today?

On Wednesday, Jessica Robinson, executive director of the Michigan Mobility Institute, will be in Oxnard to discuss public policy decisions in the new era of mobility. Robinson will present "The Disruption of Autonomous Cars, Traffic and Parking" at Oxnard College at 6:30 p.m.

The free event is hosted by the city of Oxnard and sponsored by Oxnard College, Ventura County Transportation Commission and the cities of Ventura and Thousand Oaks. To register, visit bit.ly/NewMobilityPolicies.
