Penn State has paid $118 million to individuals who were allegedly assaulted by former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, according to the university's most recent audit report.

The report lists over $4 million in settlement costs for the 2019 fiscal year, according to The Daily Collegian, and an additional $6.3 million in settlement costs in 2018 and 2019 for internal investigations and other related costs.

Sandusky was arrested in 2011 after county prosecutors sought testimony from Mike McQueary, the former assistant football coach who said he saw Sandusky molest a boy in a campus locker room shower in 2001.

Former Penn State University assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky arrives for an appeal hearing at the Centre County Courthouse in 2015.

In 2011, Sandusky was found guilty on 45 counts of child sexual abuse and is now serving a 30 to 60 year prison sentence.
