HALLOWEEN 2019

It’s Wordless Wednesday, so I’ll be brief…

Although the weather was simply Doodle*tastic – Halloween 2019 didn’t seem to awaken the creativity in my neighbors like Halloween 2018.

Determined to find a new reigning champion of neighborhood decorations, we headed out with the first wave of trick or treaters.

I was slightly disappointed when we approached my favorite house to find no decorations and no one outside! Since last October I’ve wondered and waited to see how he could/would top last year’s set-up!

As Harley and Jaxson sniffed the scrubs, I began to notice clusters of little people in costumes accompanied by parents pushing strollers. No one stopped at any of the homes. Everyone was headed towards the park.

So we decided to follow them.

In the center of Hampton Park were hundreds of children, and dozens of vendors turning a portion of those 63 acres into a Halloween wonderland…

Nothing but fun right behind me…

The pirate village had all sorts of interesting objects. Harley can now say he’s sat in the belly of a whale shark…

Harley will take a photo absoDOODLEtutely anywhere!

While Jaxson did his best “Ahoy Matey” impersonation…

Can we carry this home?

HALLOWEEN 2019 –

Since our Halloween Winner from last year decided to take Halloween 2019 off, I was in search for someone else worthy of my creativity Halloween award.

And then I saw them.

The cutest family of four ever!

WHAT IF –

The movie “A League of Their Own”

filmed a sequel?

Imagine if –

Kit Keller (Lori Petty) married coach Jimmy Dugan (Tom Hanks) and they had two kids along with an adorable Doodle.

Ta-da…

Harley made new friends on Halloween!

Starting today – embrace every moment of your life ❤️

That was a cool place to spend Halloween in that park like gathering. I like who you chose for best looking costumes!

Betty, it really was a great concept. I loved the fact that “together” the kids had the best time ever!

We found Halloween to be lacking in decorations this year too. Of course, we didn’t decorate, but Not many did. We love to walk around and see decorations, but there wasn’t much to see.

Same here, that’s how I wondered into the park. Which actually makes a great deal of sense. Kids were able to trick or treat, play on the moon bounces and enjoy all the free activities set up just for them.

I’d definitely go see that sequel! Clever costuming with such a cutie pie.

A sequel would be nice – especially if they added a dog! LOL

I LOVE “A League of Their Own”!! (Except for the scene where Betty Spaghetti got the telegram that her hubby had been killed.). Good job on the part of the parents to come up with the costumes! At least they didn’t dress one of the kids up like “Stilwell” and say “you’re gonna lose. you stink””!

After Halloween, I had to pull it up on demand and watch it again – love that movie, and that’s what drew me to the family out in the park.

That is an adorable idea. Great winner selection. The temps were in the low 30s for our Halloween night trick-or-treating. Cabo was still on limited activity since his stitches has not been taken out yet. But, the grand girls had a great time even though it was cold.

How’s Cabo doing? Our weather was really nice that week, but not so much so these past few days. Rain, wind and very low temps. Tomorrow for us it will start out in the 30’s. That’s really odd.

Well, you sure did find some fun stuff in the end! Perhaps your neighbor from last year felt even he couldn’t outdo himself. LOL
Halloween was quiet for us. The weather was a bit rainy but at least on the warmer side!

I’m happy I found out about Hampton Park. For us the weather was unusually warm and it was so much fun being around hundreds of families enjoying the festivities. I would definitely go there again.
