After a long hiatus, it's almost launch week! Here's what's happening in space:

SpaceX test fires Falcon 9 rocket

It's been more than two months since the last rocket launch from the Space Coast. That drought will come to an end next week after SpaceX test fired a Falcon 9 rocket at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station today. More on the next Starlink launch here.

Boeing tests abort capabilities of Starliner

After years in the making, Boeing tested the abort capabilities of its Starliner spacecraft in New Mexico on Monday, paving the way for astronauts to eventually fly in the capsule sometime next year. See a full recap, including video, here.

Wine cellar in ... space?

How does weightlessness, radiation, and aging in space affect wine? Two universities in France and Germany wanted to find out, so they sent a dozen bottles of the red stuff up to the International Space Station on the latest Northrop Grumman cargo flight.

Bad news for the astronauts, though: They won't be able to enjoy a bottle to themselves.
