A great user experience is founded on choice. This is the guiding principle for Citrix and how we engage and partner with our industry alliances. As we work with our global strategic partnerships and with major cloud and software vendors, we want to give our customers a “choose your own adventure” approach to the technology they use. This means empowering customers to deploy the kind of technology they want, however they want, whether they’re ready for the big leap to cloud-based everything or whether they have a host of legacy applications to support.

To show how this happens in the real world, let’s talk about EBSCO Industries. This global conglomerate of more than 40 businesses worked with Citrix to support a broad portfolio of applications and cloud vendors.

In this third entry in our Reimagining Employee Experience, Together blog series, I’d like to showcase how EBSCO delivered a great employee experience built on user choice of clouds and apps — and explain how Citrix and our alliances can make this kind of choice possible for all our customers.

EBSCO Empowers End Users with Choice of Technology

As an international corporation with diverse businesses, EBSCO needed its IT team to drive digital transformation for every business unit — from those eager to adopt SaaS apps in the cloud to those still reliant on legacy systems and servers. To simplify app management across business units and empower each team to choose the apps they wanted, EBSCO turned to Citrix.

“With Citrix Workspace, customers or our employees can access their applications from any device, from anywhere with a similar experience,” says Al Dixon, Principle IT Security Architect at EBSCO. “Citrix gives us a choice. They give us a choice into expanding into those Cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, and even Google Cloud.”

Citrix Alliances Deliver Customer Choice of Technology

EBSCO is a good example of how deployments across business units are inherently complex. Our customers don’t want to be acrobats leaping without a net — they want to know that when they jump to a new cloud or SaaS application, they can land safely and will be able to actually use what they adopted. If these customers need time to get adjusted, they want to know their legacy apps will still work so they can get their jobs done.

Citrix helps make all this possible by nurturing our alliance partnerships with other leading industry vendors. From our multi-decades-long relationship with Microsoft to our exciting work with Google Cloud Platform and Google Chrome Enterprise, Citrix has always recognized the value joint solutions provide our customers. We work closely with our strategic alliances to ensure we continue to meet our customers’ continuously evolving needs. By sustaining these strategic global partnerships, we and our alliances give our customers a great choice of technology to help them thrive.

Here are two of the latest Citrix partnership milestones:

A truly engaged partnership doesn’t come without hard work, shared planning and the work of many teams across multiple organizations. It definitely takes a village to build great partnerships. Thanks to our collaboration across our organizations and teams, we stay ahead of our customers’ needs to enable them to choose the technology they need to do their best work.

Stay tuned over the coming months as Citrix leaders add to this blog series celebrating the achievements of customers like EBSCO. Each post explores how Citrix team members empower our diverse customers with the technology and great user experience they need to succeed.
