A Chambersburg man was apprehended by police Monday evening after neighbors called regarding allegations of harassment and death threats.

Kevin Zullinger, 37, is charged with terroristic threats, harassment and more, according to court records.

Neighbors called police to their home on Mickey Inn Lane in Greene Township around 6:30 p.m. to report a seemingly-drunk Zullinger yelling threats and brandishing a gun.

Zullinger's mother arrived at the scene to remove Zullinger from the neighbor's property before police arrived.

Upon arriving to interview neighbors about the incident, state troopers identified Zullinger exiting his residence, engaging in a "verbal altercation" with the troopers, according to court documents.

Zullinger was repeatedly warned to go back inside his home by police, who also noted "a distinct odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from Zullinger as he came near."

Refusing to heed the troopers' warnings, Zullinger was advised he would be placed under arrest. Resisting, Zullinger was hit in the back with a Taser and escorted to a patrol vehicle.

After being placed into the back of the car, Zullinger began to kick toward the troopers, striking one in the arm and another in the chest, court documents state.

Police also indicated that he spit in the vehicle, prompting troopers to administer a "spit sock."

Following this incident, Zullinger was further charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, harassment and public drunkenness.

Zullinger was placed in jail on $50,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear in court before Magisterial District Judge Kelly Rock for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 5 regarding both sets of charges.
