BOSTON—Workspace provider has established its first location inBoston at 239 Causeway St. in the North Station section of thecity.

The new 26,000-square-foot Boston location increases thecompany's fast-growing global portfolio to more than 570 locationsin 16 cities around the world.

Eugene Lee, Knotel's chief investment officer and global head ofreal estate, says the firm is seeing strong customer demand inBoston and expects the firm to have "many more buildings (inBoston) in 2020."

Owned by Boston Development Group, 239 Causeway St. is locatedless than a mile from Boston's historic North End; The Hub onCauseway, a recently completed 2-million-square-foot mixed-usedevelopment featuring a high-end food hall, cinema and otherretail; and TD Garden, Boston's premier multi-purpose sports andentertainment arena.

Since 2016, New York City-based Knotel has grown to more than200 buildings encompassing a total of more than r 4 million squarefeet, with customers in New York, San Francisco, London, LosAngeles, Washington, D.C., Paris, Berlin, Toronto, Boston, SãoPaulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Knotel recently announced $400 million in additional financing, which isbeing deployed to grow the company's footprint in existing markets,continue expansion into the world's 30 largest office markets anddeepen its engagement with global enterprise accounts.
