NYC Early Voting Update

New York City Voters will now have an Additional Option to Cast their Vote in the 2019 General Election.

From Saturday, October 26th through Sunday, November 3rd, selected Sites across all Five Boroughs will offer Early Voting in Advance of Election Day on November 5th.

Voters will continue to have the Option to Cast an Absentee Ballot, if Qualified, if they choose to do so.

The Voting Process is Easier, with the Launch of the New Electronic Poll Books:

1. Poll Workers Type in the Name of the Voter or have the Ability to Scan their Bar Coded Information Card that was Sent in Early October to Avoid the Information Table.

2. The Poll Pad has the Functionality to Determine if a Voter is at the Incorrect Polling Site, and can Direct them to Right One.

3. For Early Voting Only, there are New Ballot on Demand Printing Systems. the Polling Site will be able to Print the Voter’s Specific Ballot after they have Signed the Poll Pad. This will allow Voters to Check-In at any Table in the Early Voting Site and Reduce Waste in Printing Unused Ballots for Early Voting.

4. Once given their Ballot, Voters will go to the Privacy Booth and Mark their Ballot. For Disabled Voters, they will use a Ballot Marking Devices (BMD) to make their Choices, Receive their Printed Ballot, and Verify their Choices.

5. Then Voters will go to have their Ballot Scanned.
