Wisconsin farmers named to Governor’s Climate Change Task Force

Wisconsin’s Governor Tony Evers has put three farmers on his newly-created Climate Change task force.

Farmers on the task force include Fond du Lac County Farm Bureau member Chris Pollack, Buffalo County Farm Bureau member Joe Bragger, Wisconsin Farmers Union’s recently-hired Watershed Coordinator Bill Hogseth, and Rock County Farm Bureau member and Wisconsin Corn Growers President Doug Rebout.

Wisconsin Farm Bureau President Jim Holte says he is pleased to see farmers have an active voice on this task force where they can engage in conversations about sustainable farming and conservation practices.

Evers announced the task force on October 17th and will have representatives from agriculture, manufacturing, energy, education and the state legislature.  Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes will chair the group.
