CME milk futures down, cash dairy mixed Tuesday

Milk futures were down and cash dairy prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Tuesday.  

October Class III milk was down $.01 at $18.65.  November was down $.08 at $19.10. December was down $.04 at $18.38.  January was down $08 at 17.52. The milk futures from February through next September ranged from zero to seven cents lower.

Dry whey was up $.0025 at $.2875 cents per pound.  Ten sales were recorded from $.2850 to $.2900.

Forty-pound blocks were up $.0325 at $2.1025 per pound.  Seven sales were recorded from $2.1025 to $2.1150.

Barrels were up $.0525 at $2.1050 per pound.  No sales were recorded.

Grade AA Butter was down $.03 at $2.09 per pound.  Four sales were recorded from $2.09 to $2.10.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $1.1650 per pound.  Four sales were recorded at $1.1625 and $1.1650.
