Police charged a 15-year-old male student after he made a threat at the York County School of Technology on Friday, according to a police news release.

York Area Regional Police Chief Timothy Damon said Tuesday the student made a "generic" threat to another student.

"It wasn't directed at anybody; it was just an act of violence," Damon said.

The student who heard the threat informed school administrators. The student who allegedly made the threat was first taken to the school's office and then released to his parents, Damon said.
