26% of Ohio corn, 55% of soybeans harvested

Ohio experienced cooler than normal temperatures and less than normal rainfall last week.

The USDA says conditions were ideal for harvest across much of the state although corn maturity and percent harvested is behind normal levels.

As of Sunday, 26 percent of Ohio’s corn crop is harvested.

Fifty-five percent of soybeans are harvested.

The good to excellent ratings were 36 percent for corn and 35 percent for soybeans.
