Iowa’s soybean harvest jumps to 48 percent complete

Iowa’s soybean harvest finally took off last week.

Over 30 percent of the state’s expected soybean crop was harvested during the week, bringing the total harvested to 48 percent statewide.  That’s now within five days of the normal pace.

Iowa’s corn harvest continues to lag, however. Only 15 percent of corn has been harvested, 11 days behind average.
