'No credible threat' to San Angelo-area students as schools across Texas go on lockdown

SAN ANGELO — Several school districts across Texas were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure after federal authorities intercepted unspecified threats Thursday about a potential school shooting in Texas, according to the Reagan County Sheriff's Office.

As of 2 p.m. Oct. 17, 2019, there was "no credible threat in San Angelo," to students, according to a Facebook post from San Angelo ISD.

Officials with SAISD said they were in communication with the San Angelo Police Department and other law enforcement agencies since 11 a.m.
