Men charged with kidnapping San Angelo woman, forcing her to take part in burglary

SAN ANGELO — A San Angelo woman was kidnapped, assaulted and forced to participate in a burglary by three men on Oct. 14, according to arrest affidavits from Tom Green County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Fred Buck.

On Oct. 14, police responded to a burglary of a habitation call in the 2800 block of Jomar Street, according to the affidavits.

An officer with the San Angelo Police Department was able to locate the vehicle involved, and it still had stolen property in it.

Sabrina Esther Orona, 24, one of the four arrested in connection with the burglary, told officers that she had been kidnapped and forced to aid in the burglary, according to affidavits.

Orona said she was lured into an apartment in the 1900 block of Raney Street by three men. Once there, she was blindfolded and bound with duct tape, according to affidavits, and was then  taken to another location, restrained to a chair, threatened with bodily injury or death, and hit with a belt.

She was allowed out of the chair when she agreed to participate in the burglary, but was again blindfolded during the drive to the Jomar Street residence. Upon arrival, Joshua Phillipe Gonzalez, 24, removed her blindfold and pointed an unnamed deadly weapon at her, according to affidavits.

Kristoffer David Magallen, 25, and Luis Duron, 17, entered the residence and began removing property, according to affidavits.

After the burglary, Orona was blindfolded and taken to an unknown residence, where she was bound to a chair. Over the course of six hours, she was struck in the head with a deadly weapon and threatened with serious bodily injury or death, according to an affidavit.

Orona was then released "for the sole purpose of taking the Burglary charge" for the three men, according to an affidavit.

An officer noticed duct tape residue on Orona's hands and clothes. Markings indicative of being hit with a belt were also viewed in photos from CSI, according to officials.

Joshua Phillipe Gonzalez, 24, was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Thursday on suspicion of aggravated kidnapping - terrorize and a parole violation. He remains in Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to online jail records. 

Kristoffer David Magallen, 25, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Monday on suspicion of burglary of a habitation. A second charge of aggravated kidnapping - terrorize was added Thursday morning, according to online jail records. Magallen remained in Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $575,000 bond as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to online jail records.

Luis Duron, 17, was arrested about 8:45 p.m. Monday on suspicion of burglary of a habitation. A second charge of aggravated kidnapping - terrorize was added Thursday morning, according to online jail records. Duron remained in Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $575,000 bond as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to online jail records.

Sabrina Esther Orona, 24, was arrested about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on suspicion of burglary of a habitation. She remained in Tom Green County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to online jail records. 

Police and the district attorney's office are working on Orona's release, according to a news release from police.
