Vice President Mike Pence's planned Thursday visit to Uline in Pleasant Prairie has been postponed until Oct. 23 as events unfold in the Middle East.

A White House spokesman said: "As Vice President Pence mentioned last night (Monday), he will be leading a delegation to Turkey. He looks forward to rescheduling.”

Pence was being dispatched to the region in the wake of Turkey's invasion of Syria.

America First Policies, a nonprofit group that promotes President Donald Trump's agenda, said the event will now take place Oct. 23. Pence is due to push for passage of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade deal.
