Man wounded in I-43 shooting on Milwaukee's north side

A 19-year-old Milwaukee man was wounded Monday in a shooting on southbound Interstate 43 on Milwaukee's north side, police said.

The man was shot about 8:30 p.m. Monday near the 3400 block of North 8th Street, according to a news release issued Tuesday.

The man suffered an injury that is not life-threatening and drove himself to North 9th Street and West North Avenue, where he was met by police and taken to a hospital, according to the release.

Police said they were seeking a known suspect.
