An Oak Park woman was arrested on suspicion of sexual acts with a minor following an investigation earlier this month, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office reported.

On Oct. 1, a patrol deputy in Oak Park first looked into a rumor about a woman allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy the previous month, authorities said Monday. The unincorporated Ventura County community is east of Thousand Oaks and north of Agoura Hills.

An investigation that included assistance from the east county major crimes sexual assault unit found a second victim, the sheriff’s agency said. In addition, numerous calls for service had been made at the suspect’s residence in the 5000 block of Oak Bank Trail, including juvenile disturbances, found runaways, juveniles possessing and smoking marijuana, high-school age parties, alcohol allegedly served to minors by the suspect and reckless driving, according to the sheriff’s agency.

The suspect, 47-year-old Amalia Marie Utz, was arrested Oct. 9 on suspicion of felony lewd or lascivious acts with a minor and felony oral copulation with a minor under 16. She was released from Ventura County jail the same day on a $20,000 bail bond, jail records show.

On Oct. 23, the Ventura County District Attorney's Office filed a felony complaint against Utz. The complaint alleges Utz engaged in sexual intercourse and oral copulation with two 14-year-old male victims on multiple occasions. It also alleges Utz gave the juveniles marijuana, allowing her home to become a place where narcotics are distributed and used, authorities said.

Utz is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court for arraignment on Oct. 25. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone who has additional information or believes they may have been victimized by Utz are asked to call Detective Darin Yanover of the Ventura County Sheriff's Office at 805-494-8229.
