Name of West Manheim Township homicide victim released

Updated: The York County Coroner identified the 26-year-old woman shot to death in West Manheim Township Sunday morning as Nicole Cash of McSherrystown.

Cash was pronounced dead at 12:54 a.m. and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning to determine the cause and manner of her death.

Previously reported: Police arrested a 30-year-old West Manheim Township man in connection with Cash's death, according to a police news release.

As of early Sunday evening, the man's name had not been released.

About 12:49 a.m. on Sunday, Police responded to the first block of Sunset Drive for a reported shooting inside a home. Once there, officers found the body of the 26-year-old woman inside. 

Police then arrested the man who lives at the home and charged him with criminal homicide, police said. Cash does not live at the home and it is unclear what her relationship to the man was.

Penn Township Police, the York County Coroner's Office and the York County Forensic Unit helped with the investigation.
