A 2013 Bermudian Springs graduate, who also served as an airman in the United States Air Force, was one of three people found dead early Tuesday morning after a suspected murder-suicide in Wyoming.

Abigail Smith, 24, previously of Fairfield, died from a gunshot wound in an attack at Romero Park on the night of Oct. 1, according to the Cheyenne Police Department. Two other men, Michael Tolar, 44, and Brian Perkins, 46, were also found dead, according to a news release from the department.

Police news

Police suspect that Perkins met with Tolar and Smith in the parking lot and shot the two individuals. He then shot himself, police believe. The case is still under investigation by the Cheyenne Police Department.

The crime took place roughly three miles away from the F.E. Warren Air base, where Smith was assigned.

Smith, who joined the Air Force in January 2016, was an electronic maintenance technician with the 90th Missile Maintenance Squadron, according to reports from the Air Force Times.
