USMCA progress amid inquiry
President Trump cast doubt on progress being made in the US Mexico Canada Agreement, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says they are moving ahead on the USMCA.
She told reporters they are hoping to be on a “continued path to yes” to ratify the agreement.
Representative Jimmy Gomez, a Democrat from California, is one of the lawmakers who will meet with US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer today. Gomez has said the impeachment inquiry could potentially expedite the USMCA ratification.
