AK Republican Party Cancels 2020 Primary

The Alaska Republican Party (GOP) became the Latest State to Cancel its Primary in Support of President Trump.

The Party's State Central Committee said in a Statement that a Primary "would serve no useful purpose" because Trump is the President.

Alaska has a 13% Threshold that Candidates have to hit in order to Qualify for Delegates. None of the President's Three Opponents are anywhere close to approaching that number in Public Opinion Polling.

This month, Republican Parties in Kansas, Nevada, and South Carolina, Voted to get Rid of their Primary Contests.

Former Gov. Bill Weld (R-MA), Former Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC), and Former Rep. Joe Walsh (R-IL) are Challenging Trump for the Party's Nomination.

Polling has showed, however, that Republicans hold a Favorable Opinion of Trump.

The Latest Gallup Poll shows Trump’s at 39% Favorable.

A CNN Poll released this week found Trump's Support also at 39%.

Fox News Poll released Sept. 20th, found Trump's Support at 45%.

A Rasmussen Report from Sept. 20th, found Trump's Support at 52%.
