Man shot to death in York parking lot, another wounded
UPDATED STORY:Fatal York shooting began with argument inside restaurant, police say
One man is dead and another in critical condition after an overnight shooting in York.
York City Police said the shooting was reported about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of North George Street.
On the scene, police found a deceased Jose Nunez-Cruz, 24, of the 2900 block of Sunset Drive, York Township, according to York County Coroner Pam Gay.
A second man had been taken to York Hospital by personal vehicle, and he is in critical condition, police said.
There have been no arrests and police have not released further details.
An autopsy on Nunez-Cruz's body, to determine cause and manner of death, will be scheduled for later this week, Gay said.
Spray paint markings from York City Police detectives, where shell casings were found, could be seen Sunday morning in a parking lot in the 500 block of North George Street.
A nearby resident who did not want to give her name said she heard at least eight gunshots, looked outside and saw a man on the ground near an SUV in the parking lot. Soon after, grieving family and friends, in addition to police and emergency personnel, arrived, she said.
