A Shippensburg man is accused of raping a young girl several times over a nearly two-year period, according to charging documents.

Travis Dile, 30, faces multiple felony counts including child rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, sexual assault and more, court records show.

During an interview in July at the Over the Rainbow Children's Advocacy Center, the accuser told investigators Dile was living in her home at the time of the abuse.

She said Dile would come out of his bedroom into the living room, where she was sleeping on the couch.

Dile touched her inappropriately and raped her on multiple occasions, according to charging documents. She told the investigator she felt "uncomfortable and hurt," but didn't scream because she feared Dile would "hit her."

The victim said she was 8 or 9 years old at the time and the last incident occurred when she was 10 years old.

Dile was put in jail on $100,000 bail.

He is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Todd Williams on Sept. 24 for a preliminary hearing.

Sexual assault of a child

David Hensley Jr., 42, is facing multiple charges of indecent assault of a child under 13 years of age following a police interview of the young victim.

The interview took place on Aug. 19 at Over the Rainbow Children's Advocacy Center.

The girl said Hensley was at her home when the incident occurred.

She said he came into her bedroom after drinking and got under the covers to "cuddle with her."

He pulled her on top of him and touched her inappropriately, saying he liked her butt "because it was big like her mother's."

The victim said the abuse stopped when she said she wanted to go to sleep.

The incident occurred on Aug. 9, according to charging documents.

Hensley is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Annie Gomez-Shockey on Oct. 22 for a preliminary hearing.
