Get a look inside Penn State's football program on HBO's 24/7 College Football series

Penn State's football program will be one of four chronicled in a limited series coming to HBO this fall.  

HBO said Wednesday the lineup for "24/7 College Football" will be Florida, Penn State, Arizona State and Washington State. 

Liev Schreiber, voice of HBO Sports documentaries and previous "24/7" and "Hard Knocks" series, will narrate the four parts. 

The series "will document the lives of head coaches Dan Mullen (Florida), James Franklin (Penn State), Herm Edwards (Arizona State) and Mike Leach (Washington State), players, assistant coaches and more over one week during the regular season," HBO said in a news release. 

HBO 24/7 College Football schedule

The schedule for the series is as follows:

Episode 1: Florida Gators: Debuts 10 p.m. Oct. 2, chronicling the game week of Towson vs. Florida Sept. 28. 

Episode 2: Penn State Nittany Lions: Debuts 10 p.m. Oct. 9, chronicling the game week of Purdue at Penn State Oct. 5. 

Episode 3: Arizona State Sun Devils: Debuts 10 p.m. Oct. 16, chronicling the game week of Washington State vs. Arizona State Oct. 12. 

Episode 4: Washington State Cougars: Debuts 10 p.m. Oct. 23, chronicling the game week of Colorado vs. Washington State Oct. 19. 

The all-access show will air on HBO and will also be available on HBO On Demand, HBO NOW, HBO GO and streaming platforms partnered with the network. 

Penn State's season and schedule

Penn State (3-0) has a bye week for Saturday, Sept. 21, followed by a Friday night game Sept. 27 at Maryland to start its Big Ten conference schedule.

The Oct. 5 home game against Purdue is also homecoming weekend. 

Penn State will likely be favored to win those games, aiming for a 5-0 record before hitting a tough stretch at Iowa, home against Michigan, and at Michigan State.
