'Evil needs to pay': Missing Florida mom Casei Jones and her four children all found dead in Georgia

The bodies of a Central Florida mother last seen weeks ago and her four children have been found in Georgia, Florida law enforcement officers announced Monday.

Casei Jones' body was found after her husband, Michael Wayne Jones Jr., 38, was in a traffic accident in Brantley County, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook. He told Brantley County authorities that Casei Jones' body was in the van he was driving, Sheriff Billy Woods said.

In a Facebook post, the Marion County Sheriff's Office said Michael Jones led detectives to the remains of the four children: Cameron Bowers 10; Preston Bowers, 5; Mercalli Jones, 2; and Aiyana Jones, 1.

"Our hopes (were) to find them somewhere that he left them alive," Woods said during a news conference. "The direction now is, obviously, homicide. It’s a straight focus. When he immediately told them, our office went into action, sending detectives immediately there, conducting interviews. Search warrant for the van has been obtained. A warrant for him has been obtained. We’ve already put everything into motion."

Michael Jones is believed to have killed all five victims at their home in Florida, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

"Detectives believe he stored the bodies at his home and in his van for several weeks before transporting them to Brantley County, Georgia," the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office said the charge on the warrant for Michael Jones' arrest is for second-degree homicide in relation to Casei Jones' death. Additional charges may be coming, MCSO said.

"As a father, as a parent, it breaks my heart," Woods said. "As a sheriff, it angers me."

He added: "All we need to know is that’s evil. Evil did something. Evil needs to pay for what he did, plain and simple as that."
