Bayer releases new fungicide in New Zealand

Bayer is releasing a new cereal crop fungicide product in New Zealand for the new growing season.

Bayer says field tests for their new iblon™ technology shows excellent control of major leaf diseases including leaf blotch, net blotch, yellow rust, and brown rust creating healthier-looking and consistently higher-yielding cereal crops.

Bayer says further product launches for iblon™ technology fungicides are expected in other countries once regulatory approval has been completed.  Kyel Richard with Bayer U.S. tells Brownfield he’s not aware of when or if the new fungicide will be released in the U.S.

Bayer’s iblon™ products are in the chemical family of Succinate Dehydrogenase Inhibitors (SDHIs) and use Isoflucypram as the active ingredient.
