The counterfeit vaping cartridge operation allegedly run by two brothers, Tyler and Jacob Huffhines, may be one of the largest of its kind in the nation to date, law enforcement officials say. The cartridges were sent to a lab for testing and authorities were working with federal agents to determine whether they were tied to any of the deaths or illnesses across the country that doctors suspect were tied to vaping, officials say.

Investigators say a massive drug operation in Wisconsin included about 10 employees who were paid $20 per hour to fill as many 5,000 cartridges with THC oil per day. Workers then placed the cartridges in counterfeit packaging with labeling that included candy-like names and wording suggesting the THC content was minimal.
