Missouri commodity groups turn out for Parson

Missouri commodity group leaders turned out on a cattle farm in Fulton, Missouri on Thursday to support of Governor Mike Parson. Brownfield Ag News was told this is the first time ag groups in the state have endorsed a gubernatorial candidate more than a year before a general election. And it was the first time one group, MO-AG, has ever endorsed a candidate for governor.

Parson, a cattle farmer, tells Brownfield Ag News, “It’s an honor and a privilege to have the entire agriculture community’s endorsements and just what they represent and so much that relates to my background. It’s exciting to be a governor that’s truly a farmer and yet can work with all parts of the state and have the ag communities behind me is just awesome.”

At the event with Parson at Means Family Farm near Fulton were leaders with:

Missouri Agribusiness Association (MO-AG)

Missouri Cattlemen’s Association

Missouri Corn Growers Association

Missouri Farm Bureau

Missouri Pork Association

Missouri Soybean Association
