Can the U.S. and China set national security aside?

China would like to set aside national security issues as they get back to the negotiating table in a few weeks with the U.S.

The Wall Street Journal reports Chinese negotiators are hopeful by limiting discussions they will be able to put an end to the trade war.

This week President Trump announced he will delay a new set of tariffs and China lifted tariffs on some U.S. products including whey and animal feed.

Before the talks stopped this spring, the U.S. and China were said to have agreed on an enforcement mechanism and both countries would establish enforcement offices.
