He called it a "rat and rodent infested mess" where "no one would want to live" — but on Thursday, President Donald Trump will make his way to Baltimore for a U.S. House of Representatives retreat for Republican lawmakers.

The 2019 House Republican Conference Member Retreat is taking place Thursday through Sunday at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Harbor East.

It will be the president’s first trip to Baltimore since criticizing the city and his political adversary, Rep. Elijah Cummings, on Twitter in July.

The last time Trump visited Baltimore was in 2016 for the Army-Navy football game at M&T Bank Stadium. Trump had also visited the city just a few months before that to speak at a conference for the National Guard Association of the United States.
