Shippensburg man killed in T-bone crash in Southampton Township

A Shippensburg man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Southampton Township, Cumberland County. 

Lloyd Heller, 75, was turning from Ridge Road to travel south on Newburg Road when the vehicle he was driving was struck in its driver's side by a northbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Newburg girl, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

Heller was pronounced dead at the scene. 

He had been driving with two passengers, 72-year-old Marian Kay Heller and John Oliver Bartholow, 70, both of Shippensburg. A police report did not say if they or the driver of the other vehicle were injured. 

The intersection was closed for about 5 1/2 hours, police said. The crash happened at about 11:15 p.m.
