Showers and thunderstorms move in on Thursday

A dry weekend with sunshine expected and highs in the upper 60s.

PORTLAND, Oregon — You can expect numerous showers with some heavy downpours at times Thursday, there's also a chance we could see some thunderstorms to develop at times. 

If you have plans on heading over the mountains passes the snow levels will fall down to 3,000 feet with the heaviest amount of snow falling at the Mount Hood ski resorts. Above 5,000', could see up to 6-8" of snow by the end of the day on Thursday. 

Friday, we'll see decreasing showers during the day with completely dry weather expected by the afternoon hours. The weekend will feature sunshine both days with valley highs warming into the 60s.  Expecting mostly clear to partly sunny skies Easter morning.
