Rain clears Friday; sunny weekend on the way

Temperatures should warm into the high 60s on Sunday and Monday.

PORTLAND, Oregon — Thursday was marked by scattered showers and a smattering of heavier rain at times with Portland hitting a high of 51 degrees. Rain and clouds should clear Friday afternoon and give way to a sunny, warmer weekend.

Expect valley temperatures in the mid 60s with a chance to reach 70 on Monday.

Although Cascade snow should slow down, be prepared for winter driving conditions while crossing the pass this weekend. Timberline reported 7 inches of new snow on Mt. Hood Thursday.

Happy Friday!
