York shooting victim in stable condition, expected to survive, police say

UPDATE, Tuesday:

York City Police named the victim as 31-year-old victim, James McMillan of York, who is now in stable condition and is expected to survive at York Hospital.  

No arrests have been made and detectives are continuing to investigate the crime.  

Previous report:

A man found shot early Sunday morning in York suffered "critical injuries" but is expected to survive, according to a news release from York City Police on Sunday afternoon.

The man, who police did not name, was taken from the 400 block of Wallace Street to York Hospital, police said.

"York City Police Department are continuing to investigate this case for a motive and suspects," according to the news release.

At 4:44 a.m. Sunday, York City Police officers responded to the 400 block of Wallace Street for a shooting and found the man.

Just before 11 a.m., police removed yellow tape they had used to cordon off the area. Fresh orange spray-paint from detectives marked where evidence — bullet shell casings — had been found on the sidewalk and street. The markings numbered up to at least 36.

Sunday morning's shooting was the third in less than 72 hours' time in York. Other recent shootings:
