Oxnard police arrest man 3 times on suspicion of lewd conduct

Oxnard police said they arrested a 56-year-old man Thursday after three incidents involving lewd conduct and indecent exposure in as many days.

The first lewd incident was reported at 2:26 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of South Ventura Road. Police found the man inside a laundry room without pants on conducting an activity with his genitals exposed, according to authorities.

The second incident was reported at 4:13 p.m. Wednesday in the 900 block of South Oxnard Boulevard. The man, after being cited and released the day before, was not wearing pants and exposing his genitals to motorists passing on the street, police said.

The third incident took place around 2 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of South Ventura Road. The suspect was found to be naked in the laundry room and conducting an activity with his genitals, authorities said. He was not compliant when police tried to detain him and officers had to use pepper spray to take him into custody, police said.

After the third arrest, the man was booked into county jail on suspicion of indecent exposure and lewd conduct. His bail was set at $100,000 at officers’ request due to the repeated pattern of behavior.
