Three injured in crash at Washington Ave. and U.S. 41 intersection

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Emergency crews are on scene of an accident near the intersection of U.S. 41 and Washington Avenue.

Dispatch received a call around 6 p.m. about an overturned car in the middle of the intersection. According to police, one of the vehicles turned in front of the other, causing the other driver to flip over. 

Three people sustained injuries in the wreck. 

In that same area, a water main break was issued by Evansville Water and Sewer Utilities around 4 p.m. today. The westbound lane of Washington Avenue, near Enlow Field and just east of U.S. 41, was closed due to a water main break. 

Officials are urging drivers to proceed through the area with caution.
