The Mayor's Energy Summit this year will highlight contributions made by the men and women who work in the oilfields everyday.

As part of that effort, nominations are open for the Spirit of the Oilfield Award.

The award is meant to honor workers and innovators who help "maintain America's energy independence."

"Nominees should be dedicated employees in the Carlsbad area who emphasize teamwork and safety but we’re also looking for the type of folks who come home with dirty work boots now and then," a news release on the awards stated.

Categories for nominees include drilling crew, field operations, service industry, completions and office/admin.

Find the nomination form online at https://carlsbadfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Spirit-of-the-Oilfield-Awards-Final.pdf. Nominations should be completed and emailed to Aaron Emmert at aemmert@pioneerbnk.com.

Winners will have the opportunity to meet Randy White prior to the awards lunchtime ceremony. Each recipient will be given an award and and VIP tickets to the Oil and Gas Festival at Washington Ranch on Sept. 14, which features a concert by Clay Walker.
