HomeGoods is opening a new store in Camarillo

Off-price home decor retailer HomeGoods will open an approximately 22,969-square-foot store in Camarillo.

The store will open Sept. 8 in the Camarillo Town Center at 333 W. Ventura Blvd. with special grand opening hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.  

It will be the third HomeGoods store in Ventura County — in addition to ones at 1332 N. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks and 3050 Cochran St. in Simi Valley — and the 26th in the Los Angeles region.

The store is expected to have about 65 full- and part-time employees. Its normal hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays. 

In a news release, the chain said HomeGoods provides an ever-changing selection of merchandise generally priced 20% to 60% below full-price stores. 

“We are happy to provide Camarillo with a local HomeGoods,” company President John Ricciuti said in the news release.

He said the chain offers a “treasure hunt environment” that includes “amazing values, brand names and vast assortment.”

HomeGoods merchandise departments include furniture, rugs, lighting, decorative accessories, kitchen and dining, bedding, bath, kids’ decor and toys, pet accessories, storage, workspace, outdoor, gourmet and wellness.

There are more than 740 HomeGoods stores across the country that are part of a division of off-price giant TJX Cos., operator of more than 4,300 T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Sierra, Winners and Homesense stores.

In Camarillo, the store comes to a shopping center that includes off-price rival Ross Dress for Less as well as a Walmart Neighborhood Market, Home Depot and other stores, with restaurants and a Target store nearby.
