A Chambersburg man who pleaded guilty to child sex abuse charges two months ago now faces a new allegation of inappropriate behavior with a child.

Mark Edward Rogers, 57, is charged with a felony count of corruption of minors and a misdemeanor count each of indecent exposure and open lewdness, according to court records. His bail is set at $100,000, although he is already serving time in the first case.

In an interview in March at the Over the Rainbow Child Advocacy Center, a girl accused Rogers of exposing his penis to her when she was 10 or 11 years old, Pennsylvania State Police wrote in charging documents. The girl said they were alone in a residence in St. Thomas Township when he locked the door, sat directly in front of her, unzipped his pants and exposed himself.

In late May, Rogers pleaded guilty to two counts of involuntary sexual deviate intercourse with a child, and all other counts were dismissed. Franklin County President Judge Carol Van Horn last month sentenced him to two consecutive terms of 10 to 20 years in prison. He was given credit for the nearly four years he served in jail since first being charged in late 2015.

He was charged that November with more than two dozen counts, including rape of a child and other crimes related to sexual assault of a child, as well as creation of child pornography. He was accused of sexually abusing at least four children between ages 6 and 10 and recording some of the incidents in a St. Thomas Township home over the summer of that year.

Additional conditions of his sentencing included no unsupervised contact with any minors and to undergo sex offender treatment.

The preliminary hearing on the latest charges is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday in Franklin County Central Court.
