Chambersburg woman killed in Greene Township crash

A woman was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Greene Township. 

A Honda Civic was struck by a large commercial truck at about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Letterkenny Road and Letterkenny Road West, according to Pennsylvania State Police. 

The Honda was attempting to turn left from Letterkenny Road West onto Letterkenny Road when it was struck in the driver's side door by the front of the truck. Police said the driver of the Honda did not have the right-of-way. 

Charlotte Waters, 80, of Chambersburg, the driver of the Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. 

The driver of the truck, 23-year-old Benjamin Morrow of Chambersburg, was not injured. 

Franklin Fire Company, Shippensburg and Holy Spirit EMS, and the Franklin County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
