35% of Ohio corn, 30% of soybeans rated good to excellent

Rain helped crops that were negatively impacted by extreme heat last week in Ohio.

Eighteen percent of Ohio’s corn crop has begun to silk, and 35 percent of the crop is rated good to excellent.

Twenty-seven percent of the soybean crop has started to bloom, and one percent is setting pods. The crop is 30 percent good to excellent.

Eighty-three percent of the winter wheat crop has been harvested.
