USDA awards MFP2 trade monies
USDA has announced the $100 million for trade promotion as part of the second Market Facilitation Program will be distributed to 48 organizations.
The award winners are part of the groups that applied for the first round of funding in 2018.
During the original announcement, Under Secretary Ted McKinney said the department had more than $600 million in requests from ag groups. “This now allows an additional $100 million on top of the $200 million in ATP funds a year ago to allow these many cooperators to continue to advance and build new markets.”
The largest recipients include the American Soybean Association and U.S. Meat Export Federation which received at least $10 million each to boost ag exports.
