Victim identified in fatal shooting at Warrick County home

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind.— The Warrick County Sheriff's Office has identified Joshua Nolan, 39, of Winslow, Indiana, as the victim in a fatal shooting Sunday.

David Dunn, 35, of Petersburg, Indiana, was taken into custody without incident at the scene. He is facing a preliminary charge of voluntary manslaughter.

Deputies were called to a home at 10388 Nobles Chapel Road in Elberfeld late Sunday night, Warrick County Sherriff Mike Wilder said. The address on Nobles Chapel Road is just north of Interstate 64 and east of Interstate 69.

The incident started as a verbal argument that escalated into Nolan being shot, according to the Warrick County Sheriff's Office. Nolan had a single gunshot wound to the head.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday night.
