MASON – Police have arrested a 33-year-old Lansing man they say posed as a cable repairman then stole items from two homes.

Kevin Roy Burke was arrested and arraigned Friday on three charges:

  • One felony count of larceny in a building.
  • One felony count of impersonating a public utility worker.
  • One misdemeanor count of defrauding by false pretenses.
Kevin Roy Burke, 33

Police say Burke, on two different instances, posed as a cable repair man then stole items from the home while inside.

The first theft was reported in March in Aurelius Township, and deputies responded to a similar incident in Leslie Township in April.

Tips helped investigators identify a suspect and refer the case to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau, leading to Burke's arrest Friday.

Burke will appear in 55th District Court again on August 1.
